Email Marketing Guide 2: Email design & content

1. Introduction

There are essentially two parts to email design: the outside and the inside.

The outer envelope - the "from" and "subject line" - should try to create recognition and branding and entice the subscriber to open.

The inside contains the design and content. This should be easy to navigate, include strong branding, take into consideration the reading habits of the recipients and the variety of email software being used. Therefore thought and care should go into creating a template that is usable going forward.

Browse the sections below to get advice and tips on how you can improve you email design and content to ensure that your email marketing delivers maximum results for you.
